Asters Specialist Care is growing, and we are excited to be entering our second round of recruitment since opening. About the Role

You will support people to live the life they choose, not simply complete tasks. This may include personal care, daily living skills, accessing the community, building confidence, developing routines, supporting communication, and helping people take part in activities that are meaningful to them. Every person is different, so we are looking for staff who can be flexible, curious and creative in their approach.

We therefore need staff who are calm, resilient, non-judgemental and able to understand communication in context, while maintaining respectful, boundaries and compassionate support.

What We’re Looking For:

• Practitioners with empathy and a strong understanding of learning disabilities and autism

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach

• Commitment to person-centred care and PBS principles

• Knowledge of health and safety procedures

• Confidence in recording and reporting accurately

• Experience in working within the framework of Positive Behaviour Support

• Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguarding's in the community

• Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or a willingness to work towards)

• Level 3 in Positive Behaviour Support (desirable)

• Practitioners with a driving licence

• Care Certificate.

Note: Enhanced pay may be available for some shifts, depending on service need, rota requirements and the nature of the support being provided. Any applicable enhancements will be discussed as part of the recruitment and onboarding process.​
